Friends, I have so much to say about Dylan and Katie, and their wedding & marriage, but I don't know where to start, and don't want to ramble. We got to know Dylan 4ish years ago when he moved to Edmonton. He quickly became part of our family and one of my favourite things truly, is when we greet each other and he gives me a warm hug and says, "Kiiiiiirst". I also cannot stay dry eyed when he sings "Good, Good Father", and any other song that he's written! Dylan, I love you brother.
We got to meet the beautiful Katie about two years ago when Dylan brought her to Edmonton for a visit. Katie has THE most soft & calming presence and voice. I am literally getting goosebumps here thinking about the peace she brings with her presence! Katie, you are a mix of strength and peace and I love you!
These two met at one of my very favourite places, Camp Caroline, and when they were planning their wedding a few years later, they asked if I'd be able to fly out to the Isle of Wight in England to photograph their vows. What an absolute pleasure and joy it was to be there with their family and friends! My family and I toured around Europe before arriving on the Isle & had many adventures, but when people ask what the highlight of our trip was - I always come back to the wedding! My heart was bursting with joy and emotion all day long (I for sure cried more than a few times). Dylan and Katie - I am so happy for you both! Thank you for asking me to make the trek and document your wedding!!
